MUSIC BIO My music career began with tap dancing in talent and minstrel shows. At age 12 I became a church organist and school accompanist. At age 19 I opened a piano and organ studio where I gave private lessons to 45 students. Starting at the age of 14 I have provided entertainment as a piano/keyboard player in restaurants, country clubs, hotel lounges, banquets, weddings, receptions and private parties in Naples, Bath, Corning, Rochester, Cortland, Ithaca and Syracuse. I have 25+ years' experience as a church musician playing pipe organ, directing choirs, accompanying soloists and groups in traditional, gospel and contemporary Christian music settings. A few years ago I began a full-time music business in my home studio teaching piano and guitar lessons, composing and recording. It was a decision to follow my passion. When asked my favorite style of music, I respond with jazz and blues. But, I admit each style has its own flair for expression. Music has been an important part of my life, professionally and personally. As musicians know, it becomes who you are. |
