Whether the student is 5 or 70, the foundations of my teaching philosophy are the following: MUSIC IS A JOY and LESSONS CAN BE FUN. As a performer, music is my passion. As a private teacher, I strive to help each student discover the joy of making music being sensitive to their individual goals and styles. My commitment to each student is to provide an educationally challenging and rewarding experience while making learning fun, too. |

Lessons and theory are taught with the piano methods of Faber, Alfred, and Hal Leonard. I teach and motivate each student by using music that inspires them whether jazz, blues, Christian, soft rock, country or classical. Students not only learn to read notes and apply proper technique; they also learn how to express themselves with music. |
